Family Planning carries most forms of reversible contraception. Most of our birth control is offered on the sliding fee scale. During clinic hours we offer free condoms at the front desk. If you are not sure which method is right for you make an appointment with us to discuss your options!

ABSTINENCE is the most effective form of birth control. It is choosing not to have oral, anal, or vaginal intercourse.
Contraceptive Methods offered at Family Planning
Depo Provera Shot
Oral contraceptives (Birth Control Pills)
Diaphragm or cervical cap
Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC)*
*If you are interested in a LARC please make an appointment for consultation. During the consultation you can also see if you qualify for a program that helps pay the cost of your IUD or implant.
Emergency contraception— Also called “The Morning After Pill”, Emergency contraception is NOT a regular method of birth control. Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECP) may be considered for any woman who has had unprotected intercourse or a failure in her birth control method within the last 120 hours, but the sooner it is taken the better it is. Family Planning offers Plan B One Step ECP over the counter for women and men of any age during all business hours on a walk-in basis. The cost is $25.00.
Women who cannot afford the over the counter price of $25.00 may qualify for a discount. To qualify you must be seen by a Family Planning health care provider and bring in proof of income to be evaluated for discounted services. Please call for an appointment.
If you can’t make it in to a Flathead Family Planning you may be able to get emergency contraception at a nearby pharmacy.
STERILIZATION is permanent birth control and is not available at Family Planning. Clients considering VASECTOMY (for men) or TUBAL LIGATION (for women) can receive information, counseling, and determine if they qualify for financial assistance.
